I thought of each and every single one of you today...

...as I mindlessly wandered around Jogues, Goupil, and/or Lalande for at least the length of Jason Mraz's "I'm Yours" and a little bit of Bon Iver's "Skinny Love," looking for a way out that didn't read "DO NOT OPEN. THIS DOOR IS ALARMED." The highly advanced architectural marvel that is Martyr's Court gets the better of me yet again.

Oh, and I was in Martyr's because I had to work with some folks on a group project and there were a grand total of zero Group Study rooms open in the library, but that's the boring part of the story.

As I meandered through those halls, unaware of what floor or wing I'd end up on as I turned each corner, I got a brief feeling of nostalgia that made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. I remembered back when Sarah was that girl who kept doing that one Christopher Walken impression; when Claire was that girl who did cartwheels when she scored in a frisbee game; when Joe was that guy with the terrible roommate. I could give an example for anybody, but you get the point. After the trip down memory lane was over, I quickly gathered my thoughts and continued my search for that elusive gateway that non-Martyr's residents call "The Exit."

Now, once that moment of euphoria was over, it was over, but while it lasted, being in Martyr's didn't actually seem like such a bad thing.

Stay fresh and clean,
Mai
